Stupski Foundation gifts $17.4M to expand opportunities for Hawai‘i youth
The Stupski Foundation has awarded $17.4 million to expand opportunities for youth in Hawaii, particularly on the neighbor islands. This funding aims to address disparities in educational, leadership, and career-building opportunities for students by supporting mentorship programs, career pathways, and access to key events. Several organizations across Hawaii, such as the Center for Tomorrow’s Leaders and Maui Economic Development Board, will benefit from this investment.
Marisa Castuera, a Class of 2006 East Bay Fellow, is among the Stupski Foundation’s board members who helped accept an award for the foundation’s impactful work. Castuera’s involvement highlights the significant role of leadership in fostering positive change, particularly for underserved communities. The foundation’s approach emphasizes empowering local organizations to address unique challenges and ensure equitable opportunities for all Hawaii's youth, regardless of their geographic location.
