Zach Norris is the California Climate Director of Greenpeace USA and the former Executive Director at the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, where he worked for over two decades advancing racial, economic, and gender justice in California via changes to the criminal legal system. He authored Defund Fear: Safety Without Policing, Prisons, and Punishment, which Forbes, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Boston Globe, and Kirkus Reviews have praised. As the California Climate Director at Greenpeace, he still fights for a world where people and our living relatives aren't treated as disposable.

He is also a LeaderSpring Center Class of 2016 East Bay Fellow.
