We want your story in the Spotlight!

LeaderSpring is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year!

For our 25th Anniversary, we are launching the Alumni Spotlight to be a permanent feature on our website and professional and social media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook). A different alumnus will be featured each month.

We invite you to submit your leadership journey story; the impact you have made, challenges you have faced or lessons learned, transformational experiences, the impact of your LeaderSpring cohort experience, what you are up to now. See writing prompts below to get a sense of what we are asking.

We want your stories!

Submittal instructions:

  1. Write your 500-600-word story (see the prompts below to help guide you). Please note that we may exercise some editorial shaping of what you submit.

  2. Submit your story with a photo of yourself - 300dpi if possible - in focus and clear resolution, to:  info@leaderspring.org

Writing prompts: Following are prompts to help you think about and articulate your spotlight story. We are asking that your entry be no more than 500-600 words.:

LeaderSpring Fellowship experience and impact?

  • How did the LeaderSpring fellowship serve you as a leader? (in impacting your leadership philosophy, style and/or presence, and/or your leadership impact in your organization and community?)

  • If you had to highlight one significant aspect of your fellowship experience and/or wisdom gained in your leadership journey since your fellowship experience, what would it be?

Current Organizational Work or Professional Work?

  • What is happening in your organizational work – what might you want to highlight? Any major impact stories of the organization?

OR – if you are not with an organization, what are you doing now? What is the impact of your current work?

  • Any community or sector impact stories to highlight in which you and/or your organization was key?

  • How does good leadership help communities be more cohesive and stronger?

  • How was your leadership challenged in 2020-2021 in response to COVID-19, the Movement for Black Lives’ protests which ignited global civil unrest, and/or the hate crimes assailed against Asian communities?

Personal?

  • How have you/your leadership changed since your LeaderSpring cohort experience?

  • What is important to you now?

  • What do you think is important for the social sector, philanthropy, government, and/or corporate sectors to be addressing?

  • What are you looking forward to? Your aspirations?

We are looking forward to sharing your stories! If you have questions, please email or call Safi Jiroh directly at safi@leaderspring.org or 951-500-9140.
